Pokémon Sapphire Any% Glitchless F.A.Q.
 
Q: What are you trying to accomplish?
A: I am trying to defeat the Elite Four as fast as possible.
 
Q: What does "Any% Glitchless" mean?
A: "Any% Glitchless" is the name of the category I am running.  The goal is to complete the game as fast as possible without the use of glitches.
 
Q: What is the Best Time (BT) in this category?
A: 2:00:53 in real time by ExarionU, on console.
 
Q: What is your current Personal Best (PB)?
A: 2:03:15 in real time, on console.

Q: What is your goal?
A: 1:59:xx.
 
Q: How are you streaming/recording your runs?
A: I use the following programs: 
	> Twitch streaming: StreamLabs OBS
	> Timer: LiveSplit
	> Audio Timer: CheatonTimer
   I use the following hardware:
	> Capture card: Elgato HD60 Pro
	> Console: GameCube w/ Game Boy Player + Game Boy Interface + GCHD Mod
	> Controller: First Party GameCube Controller

Q: Why Sapphire?  Why not Ruby?
A: Sapphire has Kyogre, which destroys the Elite Four.  Groudon is not nearly as effective.

Q: Why do you pick the girl?
A: The second rival fight is easier and the boy rival produces less text.
 
Q: Why do you name everything "A"?
A: Naming commonly seen names one character saves frames throughout the entirety of the run.  A is just the fastest character to select.

Q: Why did you yell?!  You're not even playing the game yet!
A: Marina.  Fucking Marina.
 
Q: Which starter Pokémon do you select?
A: I select Mudkip.  Mudkip is the fastest choice to beat the game up to Kyogre with decent type coverage and reasonable stats.
 
Q: Why do you save in front of the bag and reset over and over?
A: I'm trying to hit a specific frame to get a specific Mudkip.

Q: What Mudkip are you going for with manipulation?
A: I am aiming for a Mudkip with a Naughty nature and IVs of 24/27/10/31/31/30.

Q: What are IVs?
A: IVs are Individual Values.  They determine how good a stat will become.

Q: Is there any other manipulation?
A: There is encounterless manipulation up to Rival 1, Wingull manip (both encounter and catch), and Kyogre manip (both stats and potentially YOLO ball)

Q: Why did you restart the whole run?
A: I probably didn't get Mudkip fast enough.  Or I died.

Q: Why are you saving after Petalburg City?
A: I'm manipulating a level 5 Wingull to use in the first fight of Roxanne's gym.  I will also use Wingull for Fly.

Q: Why do you purposely take damage?/What are "Torrent strats"?
A: Torrent is Mudkip's ability.  When at 1/3 or less health, all Water moves have 50% more power.

Q: Why do you catch [insert Pokémon here]?
A: Here is a basic rundown of the entire team:
	> Mudkip/Marshtomp/Swampert - Main Pokémon until Sootopolis.  Rock Smash, Strength, Surf and Dive slave.
	> Wingull - Fly slave.
	> Castform - Required to take.
	> Kyogre - Main Pokémon from Sootopolis to the end of the game.  Waterfall slave.

Q: What are the hardest fights in Sapphire?
A: All of them.
