If not, Swords Dance + Rock Smash. > (x/16+/15-) attack: Rock Smash + SD + Rock Smash is 96.09% range (guaranteed with defense drop, 92.19% if no defense drop) > (x/x/16-25) attack: Rock Smash + SD + Rock Smash guaranteed > Only 3% to get crit and defense drop and there is some small downside of possibly missing range, but still probably good to go for to try for the huge upside of 2 turning Tyrunt. 8 Protein Strat: - Don't use Protein on Hawlucha, always use PP Up instead. - Courmarine Shopping: 11 Max Repels, 1 Escape Rope, 5 Full Heals (6 fewer), 2 revives (1 fewer), 16 Hyper Potions (3 fewer) > $19XX standard money after buying 6 Protein + $8100 extra from new shopping = $100XX, Protein costs $9800) > Can go down to 1 revive for more healing > Most runs shouldn't need more than this > Safety Strat: do old shopping and sell Big Nugget in Laverre > In case you were curious, $19XX is variable since lvl 20 Hawlucha loses $24 extra on Masquerain deathwarp. Altaria dies to +4 Shadow Claw with this strat so don't need 7 there) > fewer full heals and hyper potions Valerie Mawile Turn 3 Iron Defense: - If Iron Defense Turn 3: Rock Tomb + Aura Sphere - Rock Tomb crit 9/16 to kill (possibly 10/16 with extra protein, didn't check) - Old strat: spam Aura Sphere until get 6/16 range or Valerie runs out of healing Dire Hit Wikstrom: - 5-6 seconds to pick up Route 15 Dire Hit, saves ~12 seconds on turn 1 Torment on Wikstrom - If turn 1 Dazzling Gleam, fight plays out as normal - If turn 1 Torment, Dire Hit + Shadow Claw crit Klefki - Shadow Claw guaranteed crit with Dire Hit - 1 SD + crit Shadow Claw does same damage as 2 SD Shadow Claw non-crit - saves 2 turns on Klefki if turn 1 Torment - Overall > Turn 1 Torment: save 6-7 seconds > Turn 1 Dazzling Gleam: lose 5-6 seconds (from picking up Dire Hit and never using it) > On average save 1-2 seconds > Reduce variance by a lot (all fights become nearly the same speed regardless of Klefki’s move choices) - Don't think this one is worth it since it makes the top end worse, but it does save time on average - Bad on Protein skip (getting chip damage with Rock Tomb is good since Klefki is a range) Lysandre 2 Backup: - If Lapras dies without Outrage, swap in Squirtle and heal Lucario to full. Lucario tanks EQ from full after getting rid of the Close Combat defense drop - Not worth doing as the default strat since it requires healing both before and after fight.
