Pokemon Platinum Any% Glitchless - FAQ

Q: What are you playing on, is it an emulator?
A: Nintendo DS
 
Q: What's your PB?
A: 3:41:00
 
Q: What is your goal?
A: 3:3X

Q: What is Any% Glitchless?
A: Beating the game (beating Cynthia) using no glitches.
 
Q: Are there glitches in this game?
A: Yes, there is tweaking. But i’m not using glitches in this category.
 
Q: Why do you name yourself and the pokemon you catch one character?
A: Because it's faster to name them one character for text purposes.
 
Q: Why did you choose the girl instead of the boy? Are you that kind of incel gamer?
A: No, the girl is faster because Lucas as Rowan's assistant talks less than Dawn as Rowan's assistant.
 
Q: Why are you doing the Chimchar route?
A: Chimchar is consistent, I cannot be bothered to run Piplup. Not trying to be stuck on earlygame, I wanna have some fun.
 
Q: What else do you use/catch?
A: I catch a Bidoof, a Starly, Bibarel, and one of Porygon/Eevee (Porygon if extended, Eevee if not)
- Bidoof gets Rock Smash and Cut.
- Bibarel gets Surf, Strength, and Rock Climb.
- Eevee is for Rival 3 (picked up if no Bibarel before Hearthome City, which is the case with extended).
- Porygon is better than Eevee in the double battles because it has Psybeam for Croagunks. 
 
Q: How do you know that you're getting x? How do you know that x is not gonna happen?
A: It's all part of the RNG Manip. I know what will happen as long as I do movement correctly.
 
Q: What are Chimchar's stats?
A: Chimchar has a Naughty nature. IVs are 26/31/29/31/31/30.
 
Q: Why is your movement so weird?
A: It's because I'm manipulating RNG to get what I want.
 
Q: Why are you resetting so early?
A: Because I messed up RNG.
 
Q: Couldn't you have just taken the death and fought x again?
A: No.

Q: What assumptions do your target splits for 3:39 make?
A: Extended to Bibarel, and not insane but decent luck for the rest of the run. No optionals obviously. Safe E4. Some padding on splits where timelosses are common, i.e. Roark, Lucky Egg, Maylene, Wake, Cyrus 1, Byron, M&J, and Volkner. 

Q: Where can you save the most time over PB?
A: Dropped manip in probably one of the worst ways possible, by scuffing Windworks spinner (thus hitting him). Loses time on Gardenia and Lucky Egg due to no manip. Bad rain fight on Maylene split. Death to Byron (missed CC 14/16 on Steelix).
