Randall's Favorite Pokemon Starters
For simplicity, only considering first stages
Now edited in Gen 9 starters, not super sure of what to think of them cuz they all look pretty silly

S+ Tier - ACTUAL GOD
1. Rowlet
	My favorite Pokemon obviously gets the top slot :)

S Tier - Also Amazing
2. Charmander
	Fire lizard cool and cute, you love to see it

A+ Tier - The Great Collection of Water Types - And
3. Fuecoco
	Derpy croc immediately shoots to the top of this ladder
4. Piplup
	Grown on me a lot this year, my fault for previously sleeping on this cute penguin
5. Mudkip
	Another adorable riser
6. Squirtle
	On its own it's cute, but what really makes it is the Squirtle Squad
7. Totodile
	Love this chomper

A Tier - A Bunch of Well-Rounded Starters
8. Chimchar
	Fire monkey is epic, not quite cool enough to go higher, but that's totally okay
9. Eevee
	Long overdue turn as a starter, but we take those, no matter how odd Let's Go may be
10. Popplio
	Really well-rounded starter, even despite Alola's tendency for everything to be slow for some reason
11. Sobble
	Precious little one deserves all the hugs it can get
12. Litten
	Crazy that this is my "least" favorite of the Gen 7 starters, certainly didn't hurt that it came out around the rise of "it's lit"

B Tier - These Pokes Have Some Nice Perks
13. Quaxly
	Really strange water starter, honestly not sure where to put it
14. Cyndaquil
	Pretty sure this was the first starter I ever picked, just generally a really average Pokemon
15. Scorbunny
	Cute but underwhelming
16. Grookey
	This one's just underwhelming, but pokey stick keeps it (barely) in B tier

C Tier - Eh Sure, I Guess?
17. Bulbasaur
	Literally no universe where I would willingly pick Bulba over Squirtle or Charmander, but in a vaccuum (or compared to all the other grass starters lol) it's honestly an okay Pokemon
18. Torchic
	Definitely the biggest faller for me this year, pretty underwhelming and I don't really think it's that cute anymore
19. Oshawott
	Sorta cute, pretty underwhelming, but anime Oshawott absolutely carries here
20. Pikachu
	Most overrated Pokemon, I honestly like it as a branding mascot, just not as a starter
21. Sprigatito
	Weed cat really weird and sus, yet another idk case from Gen 9
22. Chespin
	Really sad that this is somehow my favorite Gen 6 starter, it's a wonder anime Chespin's back didn't break from carrying so hard

D Tier - *Groans*
23. Turtwig
	Underwhelming, honestly I don't even think it's cute
24. Froakie
	Its evolutions are cool, but on its own it's far and away the biggest letdown of the water starters

E Tier - No. Just no.
25. Treecko
	I've seen some love for it in the past few years, but I sure don't understand it at all
26. Snivy
	Given the underwhelming starter pool in Gen 5, I'd unironically consider picking this just so I can stash it and never look at it again (wow that sounds just like the BW1 speedrun)

F Tier - The Dumpster
27. Fennekin
	I really tried to think of reasons to keep it out of F tier, but couldn't convince myself
28. Chikorita
	Some people really love it, some people really hate it. Chikorita doesn't give me any reason to stay out of the latter group
29. Tepig
	Dumb pig in literally every way possible, honestly impressive that it's this bad
