Pokeathlon Speedrun FAQ (Unlock Friendship room)

Q: What is this run?
A: This run is to unlock the friendship room - which is the final room unlocked by playing the Pokethalon

Q: What do you have to do to unlock the Friendship room?
A: You have to beat all the defeat times in every event, win all courses, and have at least 1 medalist Pokemon. Effectively, this means just do all the courses once and do it reasonably well.

Q: Why are you doing this run?
A: Pokeathlon is fun - but mostly because it's one of the 10 bounties that Sakharu put up in the DS Speedrunning Discord recently. The bounty was for manipless runs of this category, so that's why I'm running manipless.

Q: Do you plan on doing any of the other bounties?
A: Yes, but given the timeline ends on July 1st, I won't get a chance to do all of them. But I'd like to try a couple.

Q: So what else does this run entail?
A: It's basically a manipless run to Whitney, and then do the Pokeathlon. That's it really - only slight different is you don't need to catch a Sentret (but you do need something, since you need 3 Pokemon for the Pokeathlon, so including Quilava and Kenya you need one other, and hatching the Togepi Egg is slightly slower than catching another Pokemon)
