- X Spec on Gengar, then OHKO Golbat without giving it a turn
- X Spec on Champion, guaranteeing Sandslash OHKO
- Option to get one mansion candy, skip Revive, and use candy before Agatha (+8.5s). Gives L52 first Gengar (outspeed), L53 Lance (defensive ranges) and L55 Magneton (guaranteed OHKO), but red bar from Sandslash is less likely
- Candy flexibility can aid anti-Raticate DSum
- Can Revive on Giovanni or Viridian Rival

Cons:
- Get Safari Carbos (+6.5s)
- Blaine's Arcanine is an 80% range
- Get Viridian Gym Revive (+1.7s)
- Slower use of Cycling Road candy (+0.5s)
- Vape strats do not work with this at all
