Carnival:
 - Go directly into cannon without killing Goombas.  Go to Grassland.

Grassland:
 - Kill Goombas on first screen for STAR#1.  Enter 1-star door.
 - Hit beehive on the left, then kill 3 bees.  Hit switch, grab STAR#2, enter windmill.
 - Fight piranha, hit him 3 times.  Grab blue coins and KEY#1.  S+Q.
 - Hit right item block for mini mushroom.  Return to first screen of Grassland.
 - Use mini mushroom and enter either beehive.
 - Don't hit flippers, 2 or 3 bees will die on their own.  Then kill the rest for STAR#3.
 - There is a Yoshi Egg in this room, you can use it if necessary, but try to keep it in the room.
 - Leave beehive and enter 2-star door.  Kill Koopas for STAR#4.  Hit block for mushroom.
 - Return to first screen and use the cannon.  Go to Desert.

Desert:
 - Kill Pokeys on first screen for STAR#5.  Enter 1-star door.
 - Kill Pokeys in this room for STAR#6.  Return to the first screen and enter 2-star door.
 - Hit 4 sphinx to raise pyramid.  Enter pyramid.
 - Hit right switch, fall in hole.  
 - Hit right switch again, kill Shyguys for STAR#7.  Then hit left switch and fall in hole.
 - Use mushroom to get 3 hits on the boss.  Grab blue coins and KEY#2.  S+Q.
 - Hit right item block for a lightning.  Leave the pyramid.
 - Use lightning to kill vultures for STAR#8.
 - Return to boss room.  Hit left item block for a mini mushroom.
 - Exit the pyramid and use the mini mushroom.  Re-enter to fall down the center hole.
 - Hit item block for another lightning.  Leave the pyramid.
 - Return to first screen and use the cannon.  Go to Ice World.

Ice World:
 - Kill 2 Shyguys on first screen for STAR#9.  Enter 1-star door.
 - Enter 3-star door and immediately use lightning.  Grab STAR#10 and Yoshi Egg.
 - Fall down a screen, push iceberg to top-center, then fall down underwater.
 - Kill Cheep Cheeps for STAR#11.  Hit treasure chests then enter the ship.
 - Use bombs to get 3 hits on the boss.  Use Yoshi Egg for extra drain pipe if you're about to die.
 - After defeating the boss, grab blue coins and KEY#3.  S+Q.
 - Return to first screen.  Hit Toad and buy a lightning.
 - Use the cannon.  Go back to carnival.

Carnival Part 2:
 - Enter haunted house, ideally without killing Goombas.
 - Use lightning to kill Boos for STAR#12.  Then go into 10-star door.
 - Wait for Boo to come to center, then loop around him.  Get 3 hits for KEY#4.  S+Q.
 - Hit right item block for a lightning.  Exit haunted house completely.
 - Kill Goombas for a roulette if you haven't yet.  Try to time a double lightning if it's there.
 - Enter the tent.  Play Bullet Bill minigame for STAR#13.
 - Leave the tent.  Take the cannon to Bowser's Castle.
 
Bowser's Castle:
 - Insert all 4 boss keys into the statues.  S+Q after each statue, and twice after the final one.
 - After the last S+Q, use lightning immediately to kill Flyguys for STAR#14, then enter the open door.
 - Kill Flyguys on this screen for STAR#15.  Buy a Star from Toad if you have 30 coins.
 - Enter the 15-star door to reach Bowser.

Bowser:
 - Loop around room to raise Thwomps.  Hit the switch and then Bowser.
 - Try to raise both Thwomps unless Bowser is in the center or front of the room.
 - Once you get one hit, wait for Bowser to return to the center, ideally from the back of the room.
 - Use the star to get the remaining hits on Bowser.
 - Finish him off normally if you didn't get 2 hits with the star.
 - Once you have all 3 hits, use Bowser to destroy the castle and exit.
 - Focus on not losing Mario in the final phase.  You can stop him on a flipper to make it safer.
 - Stop timer on 1,500,000 score popup.

Backups/Extras:
 - Because this game is hard, you might miss some stars, and you might get others by accident.
 - These 4 stars are quick options if you need an extra star at any point in the run.
   - Desert: Snakes in first room of the pyramid are very quick, but difficult.
   - Ice World: Kill penguins on second screen.  Hard to do consistently.
   - Ice World: Turn all 4 Shyguys in the 5-star room the same color.  Inconsistent but potentially fast.
   - Carnival: Play the Bob-omb minigame for another star.  Quick but less consistent than Bullet Bill.
