Pokemon HeartGold Battle Factory Gold Print - FAQ

Q: What are you playing on, is it an emulator?
A: Nintendo DS

Q: Have you beaten Battle Factory?
A: Yes, I have beaten it in Open Level. 2:25:42 is PB, I was the 3rd to beat it in a run.
I do not have Gold Print in Lv 50 yet.

Q: What is Battle Factory Gold Print?
A: In the Battle Frontier, there is a facility called the Battle Factory. It makes you use a team of 3 rental pokemon and battle other trainers. At the start of each set, you are given the choice of 6 pokemon at random. After winning a battle, you can swap one pokemon for one of the pokemon you just defeated. There are 7 battles in a set, and 7 sets total to get the Gold Print. Basically, win 49 battles in the Battle Factory challenge. The final battles of set 3 (for the Silver Print) and 7 (Gold Print) are vs. Factory Head Thorton. 

Q: What is Open Level? Level 50?
A: Open Level means the pokemon are Lv 100 and none of the earlier Lv 50 sets show up (many pokemon that are not fully evolved or generally weaker). Level 50 means that Sets 1-3 use those kinds of pokemon, and the pokemon are set to Lv 50.

Q: Why are you doing this?
A: The Battle Factory Open Level is notoriously hard to actually complete. Only one has done it (ggs werster!) There is currently a bounty of gifted subs for the first three that can complete a run, held by JTMagicMan. (DM him with a recorded attempt to be added to the attempters, anyone can try this since you are allowed to use emulators!) 
Other than that, it's challenging, fun, competitive, and definitely makes for some good content.

Q: Are you using RNG Manipulation?
A: No.

Q: Is this a speedrun?
A: Sure, you can call it a speedrun, I won't try to waste my time for nothing. It is timed after all, but if I'm trying to make a critical decision, then I will take my time if needed (including looking at notes/resources).
