- Sometimes MK Raticate is another possibility  
- Can elixer after jigglypuff girl to fix everything iff don't need to elixer for Martha.

I think if you have bubble you can weaken magnemites and voltorbs (and more tentacools) and without torrent you can weaken pikas too, could imaginably keep rather than water pulse for later weakening too.

Also if you get an errant encounter on the way to vermillion you could consider weakening+catching it but that would still mess with party.
