- Pick up Mt. Moon Escape Rope
- Ember x3 Rival 2 Pidgeotto, and skip Route 25 Elixer (need to Mega Punch 3-5 bugs/Bellsprout)
- Take Vermilion Mart (7 Supers, 5 Repels)
- Get Brick Break for S.S. Anne Rival
	> Candy before Youngster
	> Scratch to get poisoned (should live 3)
	> Super Potion before S.S. Anne Rival, and then during if necessary
- Celadon Mart (assuming god stats)
	> Skip 2F
	> 3 X Defends, 3 X Speeds, 23 X Specials, 3 X Accs, 3 Guard Specs.
- Use 2 Repels for Pokemon Tower
- Bike to Saffron after getting Poke Flute
	> Saffron Mart: 8 Hyper Potions, 3 Escape Ropes, 6 Max Repels
	> Bike to Silph
- Use Max Elixer before Koga
- Can candy to L46 for Koga if necessary (L46-47 for Blaine, L50-51 for rival, then candy twice to L53)
- Get mansion Elixer
- Skip Cinnabar Mart
- Take E4 center
- Use Elixer before Lance

OLD CHANGES TO ROUTE (6/2)
- Skip Pewter center
- Get Route 25 Elixer for early use (not Rock Tunnel)
- Skip bed heal and Potion+Elixer for S.S. Anne Rival
- Always go for deathwarp (might need to switch even if no Sand-Attack)
- Get hideout Max Ether + Cycling Road Max Elixer for late game (WA Machokes)
- Take late Cerulean Mart and buy Escape Ropes
- Don't pick up Full Restore
- Take Cinnabar Mart and buy Hyper Potions + Max Repels
- Do late Safari and candy twice for Giovanni 2, twice to 48 for Blaine (consider early + 3&1 if bad defenses or Sp. Atk)
- Skip E4 center and mart
- Get Carbos with 23-24 or 28-29 IV neutral

- bridge/route 25/rocket/route 6: all blaze ember (mk drowzee and raticate); fight bottom hiker

- safari ---> silph --> sabrina --> koga
- silph rival: x spec x2 flamethrower, flamethrower (wg into blaze), flamethrower, flamethrower, ember x2
- get lapras
- candy 3x before giovanni (can delay candies if necessary, but this is very unlikely)
- giovanni: x spec on one of the first 3 pokes (need blaze to ohko rhyhorn and kanga, +1 blaze for nidoqueen)
- sabrina: blaze flamethrower x4
- do koga right away (delay candy)
- max elixer before koga
- koga: ember, flamethrower, ember, flamethrower
- get strength and warden candy (super repel on menu), then go to mansion
- get mansion carbos if necessary
- get mansion elixer if you used route 25 elixer
- heal for blaine to survive 3 fire blasts
- blaine: x spec x3, ember x2, flamethrower x2
- giovanni's gym: all blaze ember/flamethrower (ember machop and nidorina)
- before route 22 grass: super repel, full restore, rare candy, teach fire blast
- viridian rival: x spec x4, blaze ember (fire blast blastoise)
- get victory road candy and use to reach L53
- take center
- lorelei: x spec, flamethrower, x spec, flamethrower, ember, flamethrower, fire blast, ember (if turn 1 surf, die and perish song. if turn 2 surf, kill dewgong with flamethrower or fire blast, then finish setting up on cloyster)
- heal to 1 RT --> high blaze, and switch slave to slot 1 
- bruno: lead slave, guard spec., x spec, flamethrower x5
- agatha: (x speed), flamethrower x2, fb x2, flamethrower (137 ties second gengar)
- heal to full and switch lapras to slot 1
- lance: sacrifice lapras, x speed, x spec x4-5, x defend as necessary, flamethrower all except dragonite
- heal to full and elixer
- champ: guard spec., (x defend), x spec x3, (x speed), (x acc), blaze flamethrower all except blastoise (145 ties zam)
