Pokémon Pearl/Diamond - Piplup% Glitchless - FAQ

*** What are you doing ? ***
Trying to finish the game as fast as possible without glitches.

*** What Pokémon do you use ? ***
I'll use Piplup till the end of the run as my main Pokémon.
Piplup/Prinplup/Empoleon is also used to learn HMs along the run (Waterfall, Strength, Rock Climb, Surf)
My other HM slaves will be Starly (Fly & Defog) as well as Bidoof (Rock Smash, Cut).

*** Why Piplup ? ***
Because i like Piplup ... like, i'm not even joking.
The actual Any% Glitchless category runs use Chimchar and Palkia as lead Pokémon.

*** What's up with the resets ? ***
I have a very strict manipulation from the reset to Oreburgh mine that allows me to have a very powerful Piplup, along with an IV combination granting me a good Hidden Power (Water, 66 base power), no other encounters than Starly & Bidoof on Route 202.
If i reset, it's because i won't have the correct Piplup (my trainer ID should be 09164), or i messed up the movement too hard, and thus can't manipulate my slaves/no wild encounters anymore.

*** Why Diamond over Pearl ? ***
The only data that varies speedrunning-wise is the legendary encounter, that Piplup% doesn't need to catch. Since Dialga has a lower base speed than Palkia, it's more likely to escape the battle against Dialga.
