Pokemon White 2 Any% Manipless - FAQ

Q: What are you playing on, is it an emulator?
A: Nintendo DS
 
Q: What's your PB?
A: 3:22:13 [WR]

Q: What is Any% Manipless?
A: Beating the game (entering the Hall of Fame) using no RNG manipulation.
 
Q: Are there glitches in this game?
A: Not any that are useful in a speedrun.
 
Q: Why do you name yourself and the pokemon you catch one character? Why not Tepig?
A: Because it's faster to name them one character for text purposes. Tepig is not nicknamed because the amount of time spent displaying extra characters is not as great as the time spent initially naming the Tepig.
 
Q: Why did you choose the boy over the girl? Does it save time?
A: Very slightly, just to not move to the right to choose the girl.
 
Q: Why the Tepig/Drilbur route?
A: It's by far the best.
 
Q: What are the minimum stats of Tepig? Drilbur?
A: I just want 12+ Atk at Lv 5 (x/14+/all) for Tepig, it doesn't end up doing many of the fights. 
Drilbur though, you cannot run a -Atk nature, you cannot run a -Spe and less than ~15 IVs, and you really shouldn't run one with absolutely terrible physical bulk too unless it's made up for with very good Speed, because of Charles and Undella Rival. I take any level of Drilbur possible in Relic Passage, which ranges from 16-19. It only appears in dust clouds, which has a chance of generating in any tile in a fixed area around you every 128 steps, has a 40% chance of being a wild encounter, and then an 80% chance of that encounter being a Drilbur, so each dust cloud is 32%. Spamming repels and biking is the only way to get dust clouds to appear fastest in manipless. Yes, it is as scuffed as it sounds.
 
Q: What else do you use/catch?
A: I catch a flyer (Pidove/Zubat) and a surfer (Psyduck/Azurill/Audino).

Only 3 HMs are needed for the speedrun, Surf, Strength, and Fly. Psyduck and Azurill are only in Flocessy Ranch, so if neither are found, I look for an Audino outside of Reversal Mountain and Master Ball it. If I don't find a Pidove early, I catch a Zubat in Castelia Sewers.

Q: Where can you save time over PB?
A: Couple of statics, one poke optional on the Drayden split, and a death on Iris.
