The following is a list of pokemon that I consider to be viable starters for PoY's Red/Blue alt starter rom (which can be found here: https://github.com/Arcaseriam/pokered-custom-starter). "Viable" is a somewhat subjective term based on a lot of things. I generally consider a starter viable if they can safely, efficiently, and consistently beat the game (with minimal reliance on savescumming, optionals, usage of other pokemon in fights, taking large detours, etc). This list is subject to change, and some are unclear in terms of viability. List will be in pokedex order.

     > Seems bad from route 3 to Body Slam TM

     > Speed is the biggest obstacle

     > Like Alakazam but way worse

     > Struggles after Moon, Fly split seems terrible.

     > Cerulean gym would be the main obstacle
