Pokemon Fire Red any% FAQ (dual runs)
 
Q: What are you playing on?
A: A GameCube using a GameBoy Player.

Q: What are you trying to do?
A: Beat the game as fast as possible.

Q: What is the best time?
A: 2:05:14 by me, using the Charmander route.

Q: Which route are you using?
A: I'll run either Squirtle or Charmander, depending on the stats that are available to me (they depend on your trainer ID). Squirtle benefits from high Speed, while Charmander needs good Attack. Low Defense is a death sentence for both, especially Charmander, and high Sp. Atk with a boosting nature is a necessity (Squirtle requires a slightly higher IV).

Q: Why are you resetting?
A: Probably because my starter's stats didn't meet the above requirements.

Q: Who's faster, Squirtle or Charmander?
A: Probably Squirtle, but Charmander is more fun and a lot less stressful.

Q: What is your goal time?
A: WR WR WR WR WR WR WR WR WR (any deathless run should beat the record, although deathless is hard in this category).
