Below are the (non obsolete) personal bests I got in 2017. Goals are not necessarily for 2018 but for whenever I go back to the game/category.

Pearl glitchless - 3:44:14 (WR)
This run was decent - first half was amazing, second half was not so good. Got this run after not playing the game for a while, so execution could be better.
Goal: ~3:42

Pearl any% - 57:42 (WR)
This run was really great - got extended manipulation all the way, no bad fights and good tweaks. Can be improved by getting more criticals but I don't want to reset for that.
Goal: none

White 2 any% - 3:13:31 (WR)
This run was pretty good, there weren't any major time losses, but there were quite a few small things that went wrong. Mainly on the Marlon and Ghetsis splits. I really like running this game so I will probably come back and improve this soon.
Goal: 3:12

White 2 challenge mode - 3:17:13 (WR)
I was really happy to get a run this good after only running the game for a couple of weeks, considering how brutal the early game can be. There was at least one thing I lost time on because of not being experienced enough with the category, but overall the run was pretty good.
Goal: ~3:15

Platinum glitchless - 3:47:11 (WR is 3:44:12)
Decent run, most things were alright but I had a couple of really bad splits, Maylene especially where I lost 2-3 minutes. This category is fun after the first hour and a half but the beginning is brutal.
Goal: ~3:43

Even though I only have 5 runs here, if you include obsolete runs I got a total of 25 PBs in 2017, which I think is more than any other year I've been speedrunning.

I participated in the PSR marathon once again in 2017, this time running Pearl any% and White 2 any%. Both of these went fine (a bit of timer0 trouble on white 2 but that's no surprise) and I would like to thank Sinstar and Garfield for helping with commentary on White 2.

In 2017 I went to my first IRL speedrunning event, UKSM. I had a good time there and met some cool people. My White 2 run went amazingly and made up for the more lacklustre Pearl run. I will almost certainly go to this event again in 2018, and I hope I can do a run again there too.

As for new games I might run in 2018 I have interest in Black, Heart Gold, Mystery Dungeon 2, Conquest and the Ranger games. Also I may go back to Crystal, Sapphire, Fire Red (round 2) or Emerald. (so basically anything lol)
