Pokemon Red Dugtrio% Glitchless Route by Enderborn IMPORTANT: These notes assume you have basic knowledge of the standard Red Any% Glitchless route and all of its manips. This is important for running this route because the route is very similar to Any% Glitchless until about Bill's house. Still, there are some differences, so I will give some rough notes for the early game. Also credit to chillmagic420 for providing the original notes/route for this category, which I have modified. BEFORE STARTING - Options: Fast, Off, Shift PALLET TOWN - Choose Squirtle, and give it a 1-character name - Rival battle: Tail Whip once, then spam Tackle ROUTE 1 - Kill a Lv. 2-3 pokemon using Tackle (pref. not Lv. 3 Pidgey) - Deliver the parcel to Oak VIRIDIAN CITY - Buy 4 Poke Balls > Note: can buy 5 poke balls if you want a spare - Do Nidoran manip - Optional: pick up the hidden tree potion > Note: You need potion to be above antidote in your inventory for Dugtrio manip. VIRIDIAN FOREST - pick up the antidote - Weedle Guy: Tail Whip x2, Tackle x4-6. PEWTER CITY - Go the mart > Buy 7 Potions > Buy another antidote if you used yours. > You must have antidote for dugtrio manip > Note: If you bought 4 pokeballs and didn't buy an antidote, you can buy 8 potions instead. PEWTER GYM - Switch Nido to the front if you haven't already, consider healing. - Brock: > Geodude: > Switch to Squirtle, use bubble > Switch to Nidoran afterwards, switch back > Onix: > Switch to Squirtle, use bubble - After fight, change the battle style option from SHIFT to SET. But IT is only used a little bit longer, so switch if necessary. > Note 2: If Nidoking dies, swap in something else and attack, then center afterwards. Nido does not need the EXP. > If hit Drowzee and confused, can just swap in bird and attack > If 1-15 HP after this fight, consider potion - Walk through the Dig house again, and continue south toward Vermilion ROUTE 5 - Take the Underground path - Get the Full Restore - Jr. Trainer: Thrash - If 1-20 HP, use potion (Raticate is a range) - Jr. Trainer: Thrash VERMILLION CITY - Get bike voucher with IT - Go to Dugtrio Manip Location - Note: I'm not sure if Dugtrio manip works with redbar.
