- Fight all the Bug Catchers with Shift strats

- Minion: Tackle/Potion spam Diglett, switch to Pidgeotto, Gust spam until 1 crit from death, Sand-Attack, finish Sandshrew with Tackle
- Heal to 20+ HP and turn option to SET

- Shopping: Sell all Poke Balls and TM34, then buy 8 Potions and 3 Antidotes (one additional Potion for each 3 Poke Balls sold)

- Heal to 30+ HP
- Shorts Guy: C+C+T, C+C
- Bug Catcher: Confusion x6
- Bug Catcher: Confusion x5 (learn Stun Spore over Harden)

- Get the Rare Candy
- Hiker: Confusion x6 (learn Sleep Powder over String Shot)

- Take the center

- Cerulean Rival: Confusion spam, healing/switching as necessary
- After NB2 or NB3, go back to center

- Jr. Trainer: Switch to Butterfree, Sleep Powder, Confusion x4
- Heal Butterfree to full
- Misty:
	> Switch to Butterfree
	> Confusion x3-4
	> Stay in for Starmie if you can take a BB, then Stun Spore
	> Switch to Bulbasaur
	> Leech Seed, then Growl once, then heal Butterfree, then Tackle spam
	> Send in Charmander
	> Switch to Butterfree
	> Confusion until dead, healing as necessary
	> NOTE: It is possible to get Charmander all of Starmie's experience, but this is not consistent
- Stop Charmander from evolving (and keep doing this as you level up)

- Shopping: Sell TM11 and TM45, then buy 12 Super Potions, 3 Repels and 2 Awakenings

- Heal to 20+ HP
- Optional Gentleman 1: Dig+Scratch, Dig+Scratch
- Get TM08 (Dig+Ember the Youngster)
- Get Rare Candy (Dig x2 the second optional Gentleman)
- Heal to full and teach Body Slam over Scratch
- S.S. Anne Rival: BS+BS, BS+BS, Ember+Ember+Ember, BS+BS+BS, healing as necessary

VERMILION CITY
- Get the Bike Voucher
- On Cut bush menu:
	> Switch Repels to slot 1
	> Heal Butterfree and Charmander to full
	> Teach Cut to Bulbasaur
	> Switch Butterfree to slot 1
	> Cut the bush
- Surge: Stun Spore, Confusion until dead, switch to Charmander, Dig x2

- Switch Charmander to slot 1, then Dig out of Diglett's Cave

- Get the bike
- Switch the bike to slot 2, scroll up to use the bike, then go to Route 9

- Jr. Trainer-F: Ember+Dig, BS+Ember, Ember+Ember, BS+BS (switch out if first Oddish paralyzes)
- Bug Catcher: Ember x2, Ember x2
- On the Repel menu, heal to full and change option to SHIFT

	> 6F: 1 Fresh Water
	> 4F: 1 Poke Doll
	> 2F: 10 Super Repels
> Get Fly, then open the menu and do the following:
	> Swap X Accs to slot 3
	> Use a Super Repel
	> Teach Fly to Pidgeotto
	> Fly to Lavender

- After exiting, Fly to Fuchsia

FUCHSIA CITY
- Take the center
- Get HM04 from the warden
- Teach Surf and Strength to Squirtle, then use Strength and get the warden candy
- Fly to Celadon, then bike to Silph Co.

SILPH CO.
- Take the stairs to 5F
- Get the Elixer
- Rocket: Dig x2
- Use candies to reach Lv. 38 (Flamethrower over Ember)
- Go up to 7F to get TM03
- Heal to full, teach Swords Dance over Growl and switch Butterfree to slot 1
- Go back to 5F and follow the path to Silph Rival
- Silph Rival: Sleep Powder, switch to Charmander, X Special, Flamethrower, SD, X Speed, Flamethrower x3, Dig, BS, Dig
- Heal to full and switch Charmander to slot 1
- Jessie & James: SD, Dig, Flamethrower, BS

- Get the Master Ball and candy, then Dig out

- Release Butterfree (and take center if low on healing items)
- Bike to the gym, healing first if necessary

- After exiting, Fly to Saffron and bike to the gym

- On the entry floor, use a Great Ball to catch a L27 Krabby (Body Slam once to weaken)
- Walk out, then Fly to Viridian and bike to Route 23

- Do NOT repel on the way
- Use the Master Ball to catch Primeape
- Fly to Cinnabar

- Release Primeape, then bike to the mansion

- Catch a Muk (Flamethrower x2 to weaken)

- Catch 18 Tauros, then Dig out
- Change boxes
- Catch 12 Tauros, then Dig out and Fly to Cinnabar

- Use 2 candies to evolve twice and reach L45, heal if necessary, then bike to the gym
