Danganronpa 1 All Trials FAQ
 
Q: What are you trying to do?
A: Complete all six trials as fast as possible. This requires having a New Game+ file, which allows you to start each chapter from the trial, rather than playing through the less entertaining Daily/Deadly Life sections.
 
Q: What are you playing on?
A: Just the Steam version of this game for PC. I don't have any of the consoles this game was released for, and console is much laggier anyway.

Q: Why speedrun a visual novel?
A: The trials are really fun to practice and optimize. I've already played the game casually (and loved it), so speeding through all the text doesn't make it less fun.

Q: Does this game have RNG?
A: Yes, a little bit in the Hangman minigames, Closing Arguments and multiple choice questions. But more significantly, it has a lot of lag that seems to depend on your computer. This lag varies from run to run, and more research is needed to determine the cause. Sometimes I boot up the game and it lags so heavily that I'd lose a minute throughout a full run. Other times the lag is tolerable, but still worse than other runners who probably have better computers.

Q: What is the best time?
A: 1:13:05 by me.

Q: What is your goal time?
A: Sub-1:13 for sure, although I know I can come close to 1:11 with good luck and minimal lag.

Q: Where can you save the most time on your PB?
A: Chapters 3-5 and the first part of Chapter 6. I made a major error (~10 seconds) in each of them. Chapters 2 and 6.2 are almost unbeatable, though.
