Pokemon Blue custom starter FAQ

Q: What are you trying to do?
A: This is a romhack. I'm trying to beat Pokemon Blue as quickly as possible using a custom starter in place of Squirtle. This is a fun project to figure out which Pokemon would be fastest if you could use them for the full game.

Q: So which Pokemon are the fastest?
A: Here's my ranking so far:

1. Mewtwo
2. Alakazam
3. Gyarados
4. Dewgong
5. Machamp
6. Kadabra
7. Blastoise
8. Poliwrath
9. Articuno
10. Nidoking
11. Nidoqueen
12. Victreebel

Q: Why are there Master Balls and Repels at the Pewter Mart?
A: To eliminate the need to RNG manipulate encounters and catches. Making manips manually takes a ton of work, and botting manips requires the help of a select few community members (who are usually busy). Routes 3 and 4 have also been modified to have only Pidgeys and Sandshrews, respectively.

Q: Why does your starter always have perfect stats?
A: To eliminate the need to RNG manipulate them.
